The closest airport is South Bend, Indiana, which is about a 30-45 minute drive.  Chicago is about 2 hours, depending on traffic, and Detroit is close to 4 hours.  Commercial shuttle service runs from Chicago to South Bend, Indiana (roughly $45 one-way or $75 round-trip, but you may want to check for other alternatives).  Trains also arrive into nearby Niles, Michigan.  We will work to coordinate shuttle service from South Bend with advance notice, but we cannot guarantee availability & we will not be able to provide transportation from Chicago.

  1. Hello everyone,
I will be driving to the event grounds from Madison, WI on Wednesday afternoon to attend the food summit, and returning on Sunday afternoon. I would be able to take 1-3 people with me in my vehicle, which has moderate cargo space for camping gear. Please contact me at 608-422-9580 or on Facebook if you’d like to plan to join me, and we can work out the details as we get closer.

  2. She:kon, I’m looking for anyone who would like a ride, a passenger or caravan through Southern Ontario, Canada… Montreal-Detroit ( Highway 401corridor). Also any suggestions on the best U.S. – Can. crossing into Michigan?

    Niawen

  3. I am attending on Friday, driving from Detroit (still figuring out exact details). Have room for one more person if you’d like a ride from Detroit or somewhere along the way.
