The Great Lakes Intertribal Food Summit will be held at the Pokagon Band’s amazing Rodgers Lake location (58620 Sink Road | Dowagiac, MI 49047) that is home to the the Band’s powwow grounds.
The closest airport is South Bend, Indiana, which is about a 30-45 minute drive. Chicago is about 2 hours, depending on traffic, and Detroit is close to 4 hours. Commercial shuttle service runs from Chicago to South Bend, Indiana (roughly $45 one-way or $75 round-trip, but you may want to check for other alternatives). Trains also arrive into nearby Niles, Michigan. We will work to coordinate shuttle service from South Bend with advance notice, but we cannot guarantee availability & we will not be able to provide transportation from Chicago.

I will be driving to the event grounds from Madison, WI on Wednesday afternoon to attend the food summit, and returning on Sunday afternoon. I would be able to take 1-3 people with me in my vehicle, which has moderate cargo space for camping gear.
