USDA VAPG and RBDG Grants

USDA Rural Development is currently accepting applications for both the Value Added Producer Grant (VAPG) and the Rural Business Development Grant (RBDG).

VAPG provides up to $75,000 for planning grants to conduct feasibility studies, or up to $250,000 for working capital implementation projects. Applications are due March 5th, 2020, and a 1:1 match is required.

RBDG funds projects providing technical assistance to Rural Business through technical assistance, infrastructure development, and economic development including capitalization of revolving loan funds. Applications are due March 30, 2020.

Rural Business Development Grant

USDA’s Rural Development is now accepting applications for its Rural Business Development Grant (RBDG), which combines the former Rural Business Opportunity Grant (RBOG) and Rural Business Enterprise Grant (RBEG).  Funding may be used for a variety of purposes ranging from equipment and construction to training and education.  Interested applicants should contact their local USDA Rural Development Office and/or regional IAC Technical Assistance Specialist since application details vary by state.  The program does include a Tribal funding set-aside.
