Workshop and Seed-to-Table Dinner at Shakopee
In partnership with NAFSA, the University of Wisconsin, and the Intertribal Agriculture Council, Shakopee’s Wozupi Tribal Gardens is hosting a field day “Food and Agriculture Workshop” focusing on “What is Sustainability” on Wednesday, September 18th from 1:00-5:00pm followed by a Seed-to-Table Dinner prepared by Brian Yazzie, Elena Terry, and a team of Native chefs. Tickets are required for the dinner and are $30/person for the multi-course meal.
Still Time to Register for Tribal Food & Farming 101 Workshop @ Menominee
There is still time to register for the Tribal Food and Farming 101 Workshop that will be held at the College of Menominee Nation in Keshena, Wisconsin on February 15-16. There is no cost to register for Tribal community members (any Tribe) and staff.
Please note this event is on at the College of Menominee Nation’s Cultural Learning Center in Keshena Wisconsin (your phone app may show a College of Menominee Nation in Green Bay, which is about an hour away; don’t go to that location). Here’s more detailed maps.
Three Sisters Workshop
This “mini-workshop” will cover planting the three sisters of corn, beans, and squash on Saturday, June 31st at the University of Minnesota-Duluth’s sustainable farm. We’ll be serving corn soup for lunch.
